Leslie Sexton is a life-long runner who recently became a triathlon convert. Since it is still relatively early in her life as a triathlete, she continues to harbour delusions of racing longer distances, maintaining some vestige of a social life, and finding the answers to deep philosophical questions that materialize in the final quarter of a long race.
Leslie currently runs cross country and track for her university and attempts to squeeze as many swim and bike workouts as possible into the rest of her free time (when she isn’t going to class, studying, eating, or sleeping). She also wastes a small portion of her day updating a self-indulgent blog in order to let her non-existent admirers and/or enemies know what sort of training she is doing.

Leslie!
I heard your name called when I ran the try-a-tri at Guelph Lake II, on September 1st, and read in the London Free Press that you came 3rd this past weekend at OU’s. Congratulations! Looks like you are in your element, and I wish you the best of luck.
BTW, I am on mat-leave with second kid (Luke, 9 months old) and will be going back to teaching next September. I just bought a used road bike and hope to do another try-a-tri in the spring, and then a sprint in the fall. Maybe I’ll see you around at a Subaru event…
Sincerely,
Angie Roth
P.S. Did you know that Sue Senior used to be a teacher of mine? I think she knows your family.
P.P.S. In the event that you don’t remember me, I used to teach at Markville (coached hockey that one crazy year) and moved to London about 4 years ago.
